Nebbiolo with room to blend

A little further up the Dora Baltea, the rules allow a looser Nebbiolo blend.

Arnad-Montjovet needs at least 70% Nebbiolo, with up to 30% of other red grapes grown in the valley. That leaves space for a lighter, more supple red than its neighbour Donnas. Vineyards sit on both banks of the river.

Standard and Superiore

The standard wine is aged for at least five months. Superiore is aged for at least 12 months before release.

Aosta Valley

Between Hône and Montjovet

The grape zone covers land on both banks of the Dora Baltea, from Hône and Arnad through Issogne and Verrès to Montjovet.
