The first stop on the Dora Baltea, close to Piedmont.

Donnas is a red of at least 85% Nebbiolo, locally called Picotendro, with other red grapes from the valley making up the rest. The vineyards climb the steep hillsides above the river, in the area where the Aosta Valley meets Piedmont. The terrain is steep and the slopes face the sun.

Long ageing

Donnas must be aged for at least 24 months. The Superiore version waits 30 months, at least 12 of them in wooden casks.
