Chambave sits in the middle of the valley, on the Dora Baltea.

The red is at least 70% Petit Rouge, the valley's signature red grape, with other local reds in support. Chambave Muscat comes from Moscato bianco, grown in the same area. It is made as a fresh white wine and as a sweet passito from dried grapes, called Chambave Muscat Flétri.

Passito from dried grapes

For the sweet version, selected grapes are dried after harvest until their sugar content reaches at least 26%.
