Bordeaux grapes in the Lucanian Apennines

An international blend in a very local corner.

The red is at least half Merlot and at least 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, with other local black grapes making up the rest. The rosé uses the same two grapes with a share of Malvasia di Basilicata. Vineyards climb to as high as 800 metres, so the wines keep a fresh, mountain edge.

Red and Riserva

The red is aged for 12 months from the November after harvest. The Riserva needs 24 months, at least six of them in wood.

Basilicata

Viggiano, Grumento Nova and Moliterno

The zone is limited to the full territories of three communes in the province of Potenza, in the upper valley of the Agri river.
