Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle is a subzone of the Valle d'Aosta DOC, a Prié Blanc white from the highest vineyards of the valley.
Prié Blanc is grown here at heights where few vines survive.
The wine is made from Prié Blanc alone. The vineyards stand in Morgex and La Salle, near Courmayeur and the foot of Mont Blanc, and the rules allow planting up to 1,300 metres above sea level. It is made as a still and a sparkling white.
The grape zone covers parts of Morgex and La Salle on the left bank of the Dora Baltea, up to the border with Pré-Saint-Didier.
