Founded in Turin in 2007, Xerjoff tells a design-led story through its early collections, a signature cap and flacon, and later fragrance lines. The revived Casamorati belongs to its portfolio while retaining the older Bologna house’s distinct identity.
Founded in Turin
Xerjoff was formally founded in Turin in 2007 by Sergio Momo and Dominique Salvo. Momo’s earlier idea was to present perfume as an artwork within an artwork; the first creation described by the house sat in a hand-sculpted and polished quartz flacon. Its design ambition thus preceded the formal founding date.1,2
Early collections and material details
The first Xerjoff collection, 17/17 Stone Label, dates to 2007, and Shooting Stars to 2009. In its account, semi-precious stone embellishments, meteorite fragments and gold-plated caps are examples of details associated with those early lines. The bottle and its adornment were part of the collections’ identity from the beginning.1,2
