Bulgari Octo Finissimo

Bulgari’s octagonal design language meets an ultra-thin automatic in the 104268.

Octo Finissimo is one line within Bulgari’s Octo collection. The Automatic 104268 pairs a 40 mm black DLC-coated sandblasted-titanium case with the BVL 138 calibre.

Octo’s design language

Bulgari presents Octo as a meeting of Italian design and Swiss-made precision. The collection’s octagonal case gives the line a clear geometric signature; Bulgari’s own account connects that form with Rome’s architectural landmarks.1,2

Finissimo within Octo

Octo Finissimo sits within the larger Octo collection alongside Octo Roma. Octo Finissimo and Octo Roma are separate lines: the Finissimo name identifies a particular branch of Octo rather than every octagonal watch in the collection.1,2

One example: Automatic 104268

The Automatic reference 104268 makes the Finissimo idea concrete in a specific configuration: a 40 mm case, only 5 mm thick, in sandblasted titanium with black DLC coating. Those dimensions and materials belong to this reference.3,4

A very thin automatic calibre

Its automatic calibre is the BVL 138 with a platinum microrotor. The 104268 listing also gives small seconds and a 60-hour power reserve.3,4

Read the exact configuration

The 104268 has a black rubber strap. When comparing references, consider the strap alongside each watch’s case and movement.3,4

The monochrome appearance joins surfaces that are materially different. A close view of the crown, case and strap should therefore reveal changes of form and texture rather than turn the entire watch into one black substance. The same precision helps with its thinness: the case measures 5.00 mm, while the BVL 138 movement measures 2.23 mm. Its platinum microrotor belongs to that automatic movement; it is not the material of the black case.3
