The story
What you're tasting
A refined, golden-hued amaro with a grappa base, offering notes of orange zest, caramel, and alpine herbs.
Created in 1897 by Antonio Nonino in Friuli, this grappa-based amaro represents the sophisticated evolution of Italian herbal liqueurs. Unlike the heavy, medicinal amari of the south, Nonino is aged in oak barrels (barriques), creating a golden hue and elegant profile. The recipe remains a guarded family secret, utilizing alpine herbs from the Friulian mountains.
