The Rome fragrance house took its modern direction in 1996, following a family story that leads from Sant’Elena to the city. Its catalogue brings personal fragrances together with private and home-scent collections; individual scents are presented through note pyramids and written stories.
A family story that leads to Rome
The Profumum Roma family story begins with Celestino Durante and Luisa, who left Sant’Elena for Rome after the war. Celestino sharpened knives before learning from the city’s barbershops and workshops and moving into colognes and lotions. That change of trade forms the family prelude to the later fragrance house.1,2

Perfume, private editions and home fragrance
The Profumum Roma catalogue includes the Profumum Collection, Private Collection and home fragrances. The house also offers body milk, body oil, bath products, candles and diffusers. These categories show a house working across personal and ambient fragrance; the available format depends on the individual scent.3,4
