A present-day Milan maker whose family account moves from the G. Lorenzi shop of 1929 to a distinct 2017 chapter.
The G. Lorenzi shop of 1929
Giovanni Lorenzi opened his independent shop on Via Montenapoleone in 1929. The name G. Lorenzi belongs to that earlier commercial chapter; it is useful context for the family’s craft story, not the opening date of today’s maker.1
A closure, then a new name
The historical shop closed in 2014. In 2017, Mauro Lorenzi and his children began a new chapter under the Lorenzi Milano name.2
Work on Via Morimondo
For the present maker, Via Morimondo is more than a contact address: Lorenzi Milano says its products are made in workshops there, in an area once occupied by Richard Ginori’s factories. That is the company’s account of where its current production takes place.1
