Malvasia Bianca di Candia and Malvasia del Lazio lead Cannellino di Frascati’s grape base. The wine’s setting lies on the northern side of the Alban Hills, whose soils developed from volcanic formations. An intense straw-yellow color and a fruity flavor give this named white wine a distinct place within the Frascati landscape.
The specification requires at least 35 grams per liter of residual reducing sugars. This is a legal minimum, rather than the exact sugar content of every bottle.
The delimited area lies in Lazio, in Rome province, on the slopes and foothills of the northern Alban Hills.
