The grape-production zone covers quality-suitable land in the entire municipality of Suvereto, Province of Livorno. Standard Suvereto may use Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah alone or together, with up to 15% other eligible non-aromatic Tuscan red grapes; each named varietal class is 100% of its named grape. The specification has distinct release and Riserva conditions.
