All nouns are masculine or feminine. Generally: -o = masculine, -a = feminine
il libro (the book) - masculine
la casa (the house) - feminine
The = il/lo/la/i/gli/le depending on gender/number. A/An = un/uno/una
il vino (the wine)
la pizza
i ragazzi (the boys)
le ragazze (the girls)
Three conjugation groups: -are, -ere, -ire. Verbs change endings by subject.
parlare (to speak): io parlo, tu parli, lui/lei parla
essere (to be): io sono, tu sei, lui/lei è
Usually come after the noun and agree in gender/number
un uomo alto (a tall man)
una donna alta (a tall woman)
ragazzi italiani (Italian boys)
